River City Deck and Patio was a blessing to help us complete our outdoor areas. They helped by adding a front porch area with a great wood-topped railed fencing and extending our back patio area (looks like it was there from a new build) to allow for us to have enough shade to use it in this Texas heat. They worked quickly which allowed for easier scheduling with a pool that went in to connect with the work they were doing. Great experience.

Lee, Heidi and the entire crew was awesome start to finish. My project was a 3 phase one , Patio extension, Concrete, Cover, and coating. The entire project took a few months Due to concrete curing time , custom patio cover and coating. Lee was accurate on his initial time lines of each phase which was really nice to know up front and kept in communication. We absolutely love our new patio and it provides such relief from the hot sun that beats our back yard. Every single member of the crews for each trade, was very polite, knowledgeable, and most of all did a great job and actually cleaned up after themselves. You can tell they care, and stand behind their work, which is a huge relief these days. Highly recommend them for making your outdoor dreams come true.

From initial consult to final product, everything’s been fantastic. Lee was great and went through various solutions that would meet our needs and price point. The chosen cover was installed by the fabulous duo Stephen and Randy. They were so respectful and kind and built the cover as if it was their own. It brought instant relief from the Texas sun and there wasn’t one speck of debris leftover from the construction so could enjoy the shade without delay. Lee, Heidi, Jacob, James, and Wade all did a fantastic job on our deck/patio. It came out exactly as we imagined…only better! They explained the entire process every step of way, were very reasonably priced, and overall, just a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone and use again for any future projects.Update: Worked with Lee and Heidi to add to and modify my deck to support a sun shade sail and the work was done quickly and with quality. Great experience with the entire team. I won’t use any other company. Heidi initially designed my multi level deck years ago and It went beyond my expectations on how it came out. We also built a solid deck on my detach garage. I recently had to replace my above ground pool and had to demo part of my lower level deck and rebuild. The crew did an outstanding job and were always on time. I highly recommend River City Decks and Patio. We are really happy with our deck design and installation by River City Decks. We thought it might be nice to have a roof instead of a pergola to make the space more useful, so we contacted RiverCity Deck. Lee came over and gave us his thoughts on what he thought would be functional and look great. We went with all of his ideas and love the results. His crew of guys were really awesome. They were just so nice and so professional. We barely knew they were in the backyard (and we have 2 dogs that alert us to everything). I had River City demo the existing deck in my backyard, build a new deck and install a deck cover.Everyone at River City that I interacted with was friendly, professional and helpful. The process started with a site visit at my home where the assessor viewed the existing deck and took measurements. Following that, we sat down and created a rough sketch of the plan and discussed cost. The final quote was given to me at that time with a formal contract sent to me over email a day or two later.Once I signed up to have the deck and cover built, I worked with River City to schedule the work. The deck crew showed up first, demoed the existing deck and began work on the new deck. Most of the work was done on the first day with some additional work completed the following day. The crew leader was pleasant to work with. He answered all my questions and we discussed my decision on a couple options that were available to me. The yard was cleaned up very nicely when they were done.It was about a week later that the deck cover crew showed up. The deck cover leader was very responsive and kept me updated on scheduling. This work also took all of one day and a little of the following day. The yard was nicely cleaned up afterwards.The final product is beautiful. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. It's rained several times since the cover was installed and I haven't noticed a single leak. River City kept great communication with me the whole time; they responded to all of my questions and listened to all of my concerns; they cleaned up after the construction; and I'm very happy with the final product.I would absolutely recommend River City for this type of work and if I ever needed another deck built, River City would be my first call.

I would definitely recommend River City Deck and Patio. Quick to come out and give a bid and communicated well the entire process. I already had a deck, so we just needed to replace it with what I pretty much had, but I can tell the new construction is far better than what I had before. I am also so happy with the quality! I needed shade, so Lee suggested a mini arbor, and it looks great and helps with the sun.

Lee has high expectations for the contractors he oversees. I told him my dream, and he had 4 different experts make it happen. Each one paid attention to detail, followed code, and provided a quality product. My wood deck was removed and the cement slab poured, with the area divided into a shed, a screened-in porch, and a pergola shady area.

We wanted to enclose our patio with screen to control insects. We weren’t sure exactly what we wanted but Lee came over and made suggestions as well as listened to what we wanted.He drew up a plan and gave us a cost estimate and a tentative construction schedule. We agreed to the plan and signed right up.It was really cool how the different crafts people came and did their specialty parts of the project, each time, leaving everything neat and tidy.The patio was completed on time and it looks absolutely fantastic! We’ve had our neighbors over and they, too, have been impressed with the work.The main point of this review is not to brag about how cheaply we had it done. It’s to brag how well it was done. If you want something done as cheaply as possible, go look elsewhere. If you want something done right, as promised and leave you with a product you can be proud of and that enhances you home investment, use River City Patio and Deck.As a bonus, Lee’s crews fixed a problem with a marble slab that had come free on my outdoor kitchen!Danny

Can't express enough our satisfaction with the final product that River City Deck and Patio constructed at our home. Our project entailed screening in a 10'x10' concrete footing from which was extended a 28'x12' cedar deck. When I say extended I mean extended -- our home sits on a severely sloped landscape which meant the deck was suspended nearly 20' high. Lee helped us create a plan that effectively met our spatial ambitions, building & HOA requirements, and budgetary constraints. James and Jacob constructed the deck within approx 8 business days. We were amazed at the pace & care with which this duo completed their work -- especially as the deck suspended at such a significant height. Though it was a physically taxing project, they proceeded with a degree of professionalism we admired -- could tell they took a great deal of pride in the product they were building. Neighbors have commented on the quality of the craftsmanship. Several pictures are provided. The screened space will serve as a mosquito free, UV protected space we can enjoy during summer nights. The arbored deck space will serve as an outdoor dining area that we can use to entertain friends. The remaining uncovered deck space will be used to grill, enjoy a fire pit and lounge in the sun when desired. Love the way this project has come together. River City's bid was competitive with other builders -- plan was superior and I can't imagine the craftmanship could be better. Overall an excellent value. The deck should be stained by a separate party within 10 weeks -- we'll provide updated pictures at that time.

This is a company worth writing home about. They're not just good, they're great! From calling and talking with Lee, the owner, to consulting with Heidi, the design gal, to watching Oscar and his helper build the deck, all of it was a satisfying experience. In less than three days we had a beautiful deck that expands our living area and is so inviting. We've had many complements already and it's only been a week since completion. Loved working with Lee and Heidi to bring an image in my head to life. I felt like I was treated as a highly respected family member. I got several bids. Heidi showed up and asked for the Platt map of my property and taught me about set backs. Had I chosen another builder, my front patio would have exceeded set back restrictions. They were priced mid-range and really worked with me to stay in budget. They were forthcoming and honest about any changes I wanted that may not be the best idea. The various crews that Lee sent were extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable in their craft. They let me know if they had concerns and contacted Lee on the spot.
